On March 25, 2019, Texas Christian University is hosting “A Night Of Drag” on campus to raise funds for the off campus group LGBTQ S.A.V.E.S., a vocal supporter of the child abusive transgender agenda. The event will be held in the Brown Lupton University Union Ballroom and is free and open to the public. The advertising flyer for the event says the event is presented by TCU Spectrum, which is an official TCU club, whose mission includes, “To be a proponent of social and political action in regards to sexual and gender diversity on a local, state, national, and international level.”
The advertising flyer also says that performances will include professionals such as Buck Wylde as well as TCU faculty performers and student novice performers. Attendees are exhorted to “Don’t forget your $1’s!” On the registration page for Drag Show Participants students are asked, “Would you like to attend a workshop in advance, on campus, to help with the preparation of your routine and receive assistance?” And, “Would you be willing to be contacted by a TCU student doing a research assignment, possible interviewing and video of Drag on College Campuses?”
The University Union Policy Manual states, “All [advertising] messages displayed should reflect the mission and values of the University. Advertisements promoting alcohol, tobacco, firearms, adult businesses, or other material incongruent with University values or policies are prohibited.” Apparently, A Night Of Drag reflects the mission and values of TCU and is not incongruent with those values and policies. This may also explain why logos for TCU Student Affairs and TCU Women and Gender Studies appear on the marketing flyer.
Stand for Fort Worth reached out to TCU for comment prior to publication. At this time, TCU has provided no comment.
TCU needs to remove the name Christian from their school name! A Christian should uphold biblical values not promote sinful activities.
What a person does on their personal time is their business but will also have to answer for their actions before our Lord one day. The school should be ashamed of themselves for promoting or allowing this.
They need to remove the Christian from their name. What people do in private is their business but openly promoting this is wrong. I used to like TCU and was thinking I’d send my grandkids there, NO MORE!
Do not give money to this school anymore….
As a Christian University you are responsible to uphold and spread the teachings of Jesus Christ. He taught us to love our neighbors but He DID NOT teach us LGBTQ was righteous and in accordance to the Father’s will and you know this! Shame on you for bowing to social pressure from people who stand against Christianity!
Such an anti-Christian situation. I would not send one $1. to this school anymore. Christians need to protest loudly and clearly over this disgusting performance
