Breaking The Silence On Fort Worth Taxpayer-Funded Transgender Film Screenings

The City of Fort Worth is using taxpayer resources to promote and show a film called Breaking The Silence which profiles five Oregon LGBT military members. The film is showing on Thursday June 6 at 7 p.m. at The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth as part of the City’s Movies That Matter series.

Breaking The Silence was produced by the Oregon Department of Veterans Affairs in 2017. Two of the five individuals featured are transgender individuals. On April 12, 2019, a Department of Defense policy went into effect that “allows the military to discharge those currently serving if they do not present as their birth gender.”

Contact the Mayor and City Council to tell them to break the silence on this waste of taxpayer resources.

  1. Speechless. If they want to be transgender that is their personal choice and their right but to expect the tax payers pay for it is ludicrous. You can’t push your personal beliefs on everyone else.

  2. Why is my tax money going to support this, that should be a privately funded event
